Children in Castell Coch get a snack each day before playtime. In order to do this we ask for a contribution of £5 per half term. Please send the money in a clearly labelled envelope.
Class dojo is a communication tool between school and home. Please can we ask you to sign up for class dojo when you receive your login details, and check in regularly for individual messages as well as looking at our class story!
Sometimes the children find it difficult to recognise their own items of clothing which can result in things getting left behind. Please can we ask that all clothing is labelled with your child's name!
The children go outside every day even during the winter months, please provide your child with a waterproof coat every day.
Please check your child's bag on a daily basis as we will send letters home with information about things going on in school and school trips. Failure to send back forms could prevent your child from attending such events and receiving important information about school life.
Each child will bring home a home/school diary please send these to school on a daily basis!
A reading book will also be sent home on a Friday, please return this to school on a Monday morning.
Our aim in Castell Coch is to make all children as independent as possible. We encourage the children to take ownership of emptying their bag when they come into school, please bare with use at the moment, as the children are still learning.
To help at home, please encourage the children to put on their coats and shoes themselves and do up their zip for those rainy days.
