School reopening info for parents and carers

What to do if you or your child has any Covid 19 symptoms

If your child has a high temperature, a new persistent cough or a lack of taste and smell do not bring them to school.

Should I keep my child home?

Cardiff council has lots of information for parents and carers about testing and what to do if a member of the family has any symptoms. See the link below.

Changes to Key Stage Two Collection Points

Following today's collection we are amending the collection points for year 3, 4, 5 and 6. We hope that this will avoid large numbers of people in one space. We ask kindly that as soon as you have collected your child/children that you leave the school grounds as soon as possible.

You may be reminded by a member of staff to social distance or move on if the are becomes busy. There is no change to the morning and all children will continue to use the same doors.

All classes except year 6 can be collected between 2.45 and 3.00 pm

Year 3 - will leave through their normal door

Year 4 - will leave through their normal door (an adult will call your child to leave when your arrive to collect them)

Year 5 - Will leave through the hall door leading onto the Foundation Phase playground.

Year 6 - Will leave from the Foundation Phase hall leading out onto the Nursery garden at 2.55pm

We hope that leaving year 6 pupils till last will ensure the children can vacate their bubbles safely without having to cross through any other bubbles of children. Thank you for your continued support and feedback. These changes have been made to ensure safety of our pupils, staff and community.

We are Back!

Hello Springwood Families. We are so excited to have you all back to school this week.

Here is a return to school check list for parents and carers:

- Everyone needs to bring a packed lunch and a water bottle to school as children will be eating      in their classroom.

- Don't forget to bring a piece of fruit for snack time as school won't have any.

- Drop your child off at the designated door between 8.40 and 9am.

- Don't stop and have a chat to other parents, we are maintaining social distancing on our school site.

- No need to bring a pencil case as everything will be provided for your child's learning.

- Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather as 50% of our learning time will be outdoors.

- Don't think that we are being rude, but we can't stop and chat. If you have any questions please Dojo the class teacher.

- Check your Dojo everyday as class teachers will be communicating this way.

If you have any questions Dojo the class teachers.
