Pupil of the week

Attendance

This is a very important year for your children. Learning takes place every day and the pupils and teachers work extremely hard. Missing just one day of school can lead to gaps in learning that can have a detrimental effect on a pupil’s achievement. Coming to school every day and on time will be rewarded through praise, rewards, and trips given throughout the year.

Welcome back! Happy New Year and I hope you had a lovely Christmas!

Spring Term 2019 - 'Street Detectives'

Our second Context for Learning is Street Detectives, where we will be looking closely at our local area. We will be looking around our local area and identifying all the different jobs available to people within the community. We will also be completing an investigation into what material best suits the different components that make up a house. In Literacy, we will be learning to write our own version of a traditional tale, write a recipe, create our own bedtime story and write our own welsh poem.  In Numeracy, we will be looking at multiplication, division and time. The children will also be given the opportunity to solve word problems related to these topics. We will also continue to develop our mental addition and subtraction skills.
